Body Scan with Todd Braver

Connect to nature, yourself and one another at this Mindfulness Month event. Free and open to the public.

Seating may be limited. Please bring a camp chair or yoga mat, if you have one. Be sure to add this event to your calendar using the link above!

The Picnic Bench is one of the 15 Connection Points designated by the Buder Center as mental health spaces where community members can seek out psychological safety and tranquility and reintroduce the Indigenous names and uses of the plant species.

Directions: Between Lee and Beaumont dormitories, this picnic bench is the perfect hangout spot and is conveniently shaded by a beautiful pin oak. From Forsyth Boulevard, turn onto Wallace Drive, then turn right onto Shepley Drive. The Picnic Bench is on the left side of the road behind Lee Dormitory. The DUC parking garage is the most accessible for this location for driving. For those taking public transportation, several campus shuttles travel along Shepley, and there are stops close by.

Mindfulness Month is hosted by Mindfulness Science & Practice with support from the Incubator for Transdisciplinary Futures in collaboration with the Kathryn M. Buder Center for American Indian Studies and IDEAS at DOM.
