Buder Circle & the Three Sisters Garden are one of the 15 Connection Points designated by the Buder Center as mental health spaces where community members can seek out psychological safety and tranquility and reintroduce the Indigenous names and uses of the plant species. The Buder circle was created as an outdoor space for Native students and staff. Celebrations for students and remembrance days are hosted at the circle, and important plants such as sweet grass grow around it. Hidden away amongst nearby trees, a garden of corn, beans, and squash is being taken care of by faculty.
Directions: The Buder Circle is visible from Forsyth Boulevard and sits outside doors to the Brown School's Goldfarb Hall. It is easily accessible from the East End parking garage and there are multiple MetroBus and Campus Shuttle spots nearby.
Mindfulness Month is hosted by Mindfulness Science & Practice with support from the Incubator for Transdisciplinary Futures in collaboration with the Kathryn M. Buder Center for American Indian Studies and IDEAS at DOM.
