Speaker Information

 Prof. Yuan-Chuan Tai received his PhD in Biomedical Physics from UCLA under the late Professor Edward J. Hoffman who co-invented PET in the 1970’s at WashU. The Tai Lab develops novel gamma ray detectors, multi-modality imaging systems, and robust image reconstruction framework to accelerate molecular imaging research, improve the accuracy of clinical diagnosis, provide guidance to therapeutic interventions, and enable molecular and phenotypic plant imaging. Dr. Tai is the Senior Vice Chair and Division Director of Radiology Research Facilities, an Associate Professor of Radiology and is affiliated with the Department of Electrical and Systems Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and Imaging Science Doctoral Program at WashU.
