DESCRIPTION:The Whitney R. Harris World Law Institute and the Gun Violence 
 and Human Rights Initiative will host a Workshop on June 29\, 2021. The wo
 rkshop is co-sponsored by the International Law Association (American Bran
 ch) Human Rights Committee.\n\nThis workshop is broken into two parts. The
  first\, which is open to the public\, will involve the presentation of re
 search by scholars working on gun violence\, firearm laws\, and gun safety
  issues\, as well as discuss recent action by the U.S. government to fight
  gun violence. The second half of the Workshop\, which is closed to the pu
 blic\, will open with a presentation of the Initiative’s research and be
  followed by a discussion of a variety of strategies to address the U.S. g
