Andy Meyer, PhD ’97, has supported local live music and saved concert tickets since the 1980s. This two-part collection illustrates a lifelong passion for live music and performance, capturing a catalog of musical memories through ticket stubs and autographed CDs.

Some of Andy’s favorite experiences are represented by the tickets grouped together here, and you may also discover a few non-musical memories scattered throughout the exhibition. The CDs were purchased from artists performing at smaller local venues such as Off-Broadway and the Old Rock House, where audience interactions with the musicians can be easy to come by and enrich the experience. These CDs demonstrate Andy’s dedication to the discovery and enjoyment of music over the last 20 years, and the tickets document that history going back another 20 years.

This collection preserves these musical experiences in a tangible way that cannot be replicated today through e-tickets and music streaming.
