Guarav Garg

Founding Partner, Wing Venture Capital

Gaurav Garg is founding partner of Wing Venture Capital, a venture capital firm focused on early-stage business technology companies, including Snowflake, Cohesity and Rula. He founded two technology companies that went public — Redback Networks and Ruckus Wireless. Before co-founding Wing, he was a partner at Sequoia Capital, where he incubated FireEye and Jasper Wireless. He led early-stage investments in MobileIron, RingCentral and Aruba, which eventually became public companies.

Garg has been named to the Forbes Midas List of top tech investors several times and, in 2014, was named Silicon Valley Venture Capitalist of the Year at the Technology Fast 500 Awards.

Garg serves on the Washington University Board of Trustees and is also a member of McKelvey Engineering’s National Council. In recognition of his distinguished career and longstanding service to the university, Garg received the Alumni Achievement Award from the engineering school in 2014 and the Founders Day Distinguished Alumni Award in 2017 from Washington University.

He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering and a bachelor’s degree in computer science, all from Washington University.
