 esents the case of the Federal University of Itajubá (UNIFEI) and its ado
 ption of Project-Based Learning (PBL) in undergraduate programs in compute
 r\, electronic and automation  engineering. Supported in part by the Fulbr
 ight PMG initiative\, the project involved a comprehensive curriculum rede
 sign to promote active learning and student-centered approaches. Strategie
 s such as flipped classrooms and early access to materials were key to fos
 tering  engagement and autonomy. The initiative led to a measurable reduct
 ion in failure rates and improved student retention. This presentation wil
 l share insights into the implementation process\, the pedagogical shifts 
 and the broader impact of PBL on engineering education in Brazil.
