Pepper Schwartz received her BA and MA in Sociology from Washington University and a PhD in Sociology from Yale University. A Professor at the University of Washington for 50 years, she has received numerous awards, including the Panhellenic teaching award and the American Sociological Association’s Public Understanding of Sociology award.
